Weekend adventure...

We managed to get a €10 train ticket which allowed us unlimited journeys inside Franche-Comte so...

Saturday:
I visited Dijon for the last time, here I found a new hat shop with some really great items.

This was also the start of the Fete du Velo, a festival where many people get together and share weird and wonderful bicycles. The next day there will be a huge bike procession that starts in Dijon and continues around the region.

Sunday:
Early start train to Belfort at 7am to arrive in time for the famous flee markets that are only on the 1st Sunday of the month, so this was my last chance to see them before I leave France.

The markets were amazing, so many interesting items, furniture, guns, bric a brac, tools, and lots of different clocks as the region is known for L'Horloge

We also visited the  Lion of Belfort,
The Lion of Belfort is a monumental sculpture by Frédéric Bartholdi, sculptor of the Statue of Liberty in New York, located in Belfort, France.
Because it was the first Sunday of the month all the museums are also free but I didn't have enough time to visit.
