Drawing Project Continued...

 During the inter-rail adventure I kept a diary and noted down changes in language and difficulties in communication from day to day.

From this I created montage drawings based on these diary entries













3 montage drawings based on the 3 languages spoken-

• French
• Italian
• German

I then cut each montage into sections and with black and grey pens I used language and details to link and different sections together, resembling difficulties in communication.

 This is a more experimental approach trying to capture frustration.

I want to experiment further with drawing with language rather than the montage sections...

 I asked other people to write about there communication difficulties.

This is French, Italian English and Spanish.




I then created this piece by writing in continuous lines at the same time as another person writing in a different language. This had some interesting effects.

The shape of a brain was interesting so I explored different ways of drawing a brain.

I then used tracing paper to create a negative space drawing using text. I think this approach is interesting.
